New shoes for my vintage 53 Pilot
The contemporaneous NOS pigskin had become a bit manky over recent years. The choice of open ended straps is always very limited and I spotted this plain one at my wholesaler. Decided against their offer of an O/E black crocodile as being a bit too dressy for such a tool watch, although I do like reptile straps. The extra stitching is my own amateur work and became necessary to ensure additional security for a weighty item. Now looking for a suitable signed pin buckle. Wearing for the week and keeping good time for a 67 years old veteran.
