Quite satisfied with this combination...

My first successful strap change without any new scratches 😂 Took the mostly unused Trilogy extra straps and changed the white Velcro to a black vintage leather. Changes the watch totally. What do you think? ...

I like it.

It focuses your attention on the watch. The lume shot is also very nice.

That’s right!

The focus is now on the dial and bezel with the black strap blending in. Thanks.

Looks great !

So not good news for people born after 1970 :)

It will be quite special feeling to get your birth year. Omega don’t make lower than 2000 pcs nowadays, except for the recent 50th anniversary moonshine gold.

Not so...

316 pieces worldwide. ...

Nice, I don’t know about this model. Thanks for the note...

I do see a trend with the recent releases of 6969 or 7007 and now, the Bond 25 is “unlimited”

I like the black strap

But what I don’t get it the gap in the lugs even thought it’s an omega oem strap! It happened to me when I ordered the snoopy strap and seeing the gap in the spring bar drove Me nuts!

This black strap is new so the holes for pushing in the pins felt so tight...

That I think it rolls in a little to cause the gap. The width fit nicely between the lugs when I place it before inserting the pins. When I wriggle the strap left and right between the lugs, it got better. See photo in my response to mj23.

I think you’re absolutely correct...

Looking up Omega website, the Trilogy watches are 19mm while the Alaska Project shows 20mm. Thanks for the answer....I’m ok to accept this 1mm though, no need to get a new strap.

I like it!! Looks great.

Other than the gap may be a little too much from the strap to the case.

Superb. Really stunning, actually.

Afraid

 By: Weems@8 : March 1st, 2020-23:53
I am afraid to make scratches when i want to swap a strap on my Omega. So i do skip a strap change and then it forget. But when it is old and dirty, the time wil come i must do. I can chose to let do it at an AD of Omega. Strap changing is not difficult, ...

I’m afraid as hell too...

I’m using scotch tape wrap around lugs in this case and it helped. Usually like you, whenever I’m visiting AD, I ask them to help. Yes, the straps like ones use in Patek with slide pins are good.

Older watches

My watches who are older, i am calm. ...but my watches are in top condition.

Your Speedmaster looks great...

Straps are always a very personal thing and my choice would be either a bracelet or a good quality black NATO. Have a great week. The Captain

I have NATO from the Trilogy set too

 By: Clueless_Collector : March 2nd, 2020-08:52
But since the white Velcro has similar look as NATO, I used the strap this time. Thanks

Best with black! [nt]

My 2¢: white dial Speedies come across a bit more convincingly . . .

 By: Dr No : March 2nd, 2020-11:02
. . . on bracelets. Same applies to Mk II, III, IV, and V, as well as the Flightmaster. Black dialed models work fine both ways, maybe even better on a strap. One particularly appealing combo is the rubberized racing strap tailored for the original rattra...

I like the bracelet if it’s not that bulky...

 By: Clueless_Collector : March 2nd, 2020-11:26
But I do agree it’s not bad looking at all. For some reasons, I always like Omega better on straps. Thanks Art.
