Omega launch - X‑33 MARSTIMER

 By: Cpt Scarlet : September 27th, 2022-17:49
Made in conjunction with the European Space Agency (ESA), OMEGA’s Speedmaster X-33 Marstimer is everything the name suggests. Cased in grade 2 titanium and powered by a multifunctional quartz movement, the unique 45 mm chronograph can track times and time...

Interesting watch.

Looking forward to discover this piece in real.

Very cool indeed!

I agree ☝️

oxalic anodized aluminium bezel ring in red hematite looks very cool.

It does

I love it

I would just love saying….

Take a look at my oxalic anodized aluminium bezel ring in red hematite 🤷🏼‍♂️

It’s bad enough to find out you’re going to Mars and then obsess about owning this watch…

 By: myles721 : September 27th, 2022-21:08
But a purist would buy the watch and then obsess about how to get to Mars so he (or she) could try it out!!! 🤨 🚀 🤯

+1!! (nt)

I suspect it's a trade off

For the excellent alarm volume. The caseback features a resonator (also why it's so thick). On balance, given that it's my daily and I use it to time my experiments, I appreciate the loudness of the alarm which can be heard over all the fans, pumps and co...

A Sub?! . . .

. . . perish the thought! "Go . . . . . . Deep." ...

So nice.

Go for the Titanium version …

...

I'll be trying a titanium UD on Sunday . . .

 By: Dr No : September 29th, 2022-18:10
. . . but having a hard time accepting the added height. The posted photo is my cousin Vic's UD on his wrist. I've tried on a steel version twice in the last week and feel comfortable with it. The final decision will be made after trying the titanium vers...

I would but

That would be throwing shade on my wife, who already has one in 39mm brown ceramic

Nothing wrong with . . .

 By: Dr No : September 29th, 2022-20:03
. . . a mixed marriage. With all the divisiveness we seem to have these days, an Omega/Rolex pairing should be celebrated. ...

Why do you need more..

Water resistance on this watch? Not made for swimming.

Not this specific model

 By: Henke : September 28th, 2022-14:19
But they made a version for regatta timing and kept the 30m water resistance...

That makes more sense toe. (nt)

A 30m resistance watch scares me 😳

 By: oyster case : September 28th, 2022-16:22
And in a full titanium sporty piece at this price point I think my disappointment is justified.

Omega made a watch for you …

...

I flat out want one!

Have always been a fan of the X33, and now… oxalic anodized aluminium red hematite bezel!!! But… what the heck is "oxalic anodized," and how robust this aluminium bezel? What a perfect color! FH

Good, go for it 👍…

 By: Cpt Scarlet : September 28th, 2022-16:09
The bezel is robust and personally I prefer it to ceramic. The colour is reminiscent of Mars’ distinctive dust. The shade is also present on the seconds hand, which has a black to red hematite gradient.

If I did not have the Exospace...

 By: Ronald Held : September 28th, 2022-16:12
I would consider buying it.

No way it is a Casio. SW is much better..

Along with the UI.
