Yes, this is a growing trend with the Boutiques, I had a much worse experience here in Canada with Omega, they were beyond rude and I was pulling the trigger on a piece.
I called them, inquired about the piece, all was ok, the only thing remaining was for me to pay and for them to send it to me. They emailed me with info I "needed" to provide, passport info, drivers license the works etc. (possibly my underwear number too...

Exactly what happened to me, in terms of their attitude, they must train them from the same manual, if I just give them
all the information about me in the world then I can own this extra special limited edition that I inquired about and that they couldn't have sold since it came out some year ago ! and as to no one touching them, on average I see watches with their caseba...
2 options:
1. Tell them where to stick it 2. buy it via distance selling regulations and they have to take it back if you return...... I prefer 1. There are plenty more pleasant buying experiences to be had than this bunch. lol Rapwatch

Since the watch is already allocated to another VIP, perhaps protocol dictates that can’t let people try it on and risk damaging the case/movement. Best way to handle this, IMHO, is to be honest. If there’s no protocol, they should let you come down to th...

The watch probably belongs to someone else and they have a strict protocol not to let anyone touch it other than the owner. There might have been an incident in the past which started this off. Anyway, I hope you get yours soon or manage to find an exampl...
