I can confirm having seen many examples of this exact kind of replica.

In fact, some years ago, it was quite common to see this glass ball in the flea markets of my country, sometimes with metallic stand or in one case I saw it with wings. Obviously, someone must have been actively producing and distributing them.

The seashell presentation is interesting though.

. . . the family's expanding - that's always good news. Re the Omega: it's not authentic, not any part of it. My guess is that someone found a discarded replica, and thought it would add character to the display. Best, Art

Someone showed amazing creativity by placing this timepiece amongst the seashells. It was a fun find even if it was a replica. I was in Massachusetts for a month leading up to my daughters wedding and had a wonderful time. Maybe I'll post some of the phot...
