A little different in London UK

Hi all,
Here in the UK they are not taking deposits and at the Omega Boutique within a larger watch store were I got my Apollo 8 from last year I was speaking to the same consultant that served me with my Apollo 8 and according to her so not really facts from Omega but hearsay. They are not running a waiting list but will register a customers interest in the piece which means as and when any information or pictures become available they will e-mail the details to you. Also again according to her they then also decide who is approved or not to be offered the opportunity to get one all of which I find very strange if indeed this Snoopy 50th Anniversary is not going to be a LTD edition. Why would there be any restrictions on who can get one if it's not a LTD edition? that just doesn't make any sense to me but seeing as they already have an account for me she said I was approved anyway now just have to wait and see what it looks like, and the price before deciding if I may want one or not. If it does indeed end up being a LTD edition and is something really special as after all this is a bigger deal than the previous milestone I wonder if this will see the same IMO absurd price increases the second Snoopy has had in the secondary market.

they’re taking deposits on the upcoming Snoopy. My AD called and asked if I wanted to. The only consistent info between what she says and another forum’s postings say is that it’s a limited production (not LE). Otherwise, she didn’t know what final price,...

they said boutique likely for first couple of months then distribution will open up to ADs too. Seems a bit arbitrary, so it may be that motivated ADs can also get (or reserve) one for their customers from start. Hope that helps.

Agreed.

Especially since the deposit is refundable, why not just take payments once the watch is released? Because final price not known, nor watch seen, a number of people may actually decline. So it would be just more efficient to wait. It is what it is. No big...
