3...2...1.....go........its back

Known for its beautifully intricate design, the original Calibre 321 was the first movement ever used in the OMEGA Speedmaster in 1957. Most famously, it was used in a variety of space-bound models including those that went to the moon. After extensive re...

Boom! And there it is...

Sapphire crystal on the obverse, presumably. Seems like a nice, modern watch but at the same time an odd combination of vintage (cal. 321 in all original specs) and new (special platinum alloy, ceramic, meteorite). None of this is by way of criticism. I’l...

It has to be Pt....oh no, unattainable 🤦🏻‍♂️

Looking at Omega’s Pt pieces, it should be in the $50K range ☹️

So this or a preowned Datograph?

Well, I know what my choice would be....

Well I would not

Give me this or a Dato and I'll take the omega. Yes the dato is better finished but looking at the complete package ... and the history The omega for me please

Even if they make 2000 per year and possibly another few models coming next in 321....

You’ll still take this Omega?

Sure, I can understand that choice...

For me, this Omega doesn't embody that history. Perhaps a true-to-original reissue might, but not this one. Just my opinion of course. Word is that this will be in the USD $60K range, which I view as an astonishing price for such a basic movement. But I'm...

That is priceless. That is hysterical to me, IMO.

They will...

...they always release the precious metals first (difficult to sell ones) and then the steel version. All in all, this is getting crazy in my opinion. With this pt edition, omega has 5 platin speedies on their website, inclunding the bordeaux speedy, my f...

Same here. [nt]

Yes....

Heavy beast!

+1 Just give us a true-to-original reissue in steel with the cal 321

 By: vitalsigns : July 21st, 2019-10:51
with perhaps the only modern concession being a sapphire crystal case back to showcase the cal 321 (or even better, two case backs: one solid, one sapphire).

Very nice Speedmaster.

I think it looks fantastic, plus the beautiful movement, a winner. Vte

Remarkable the case doesn't follow the usual contours . . .

. . . of a Professional. In any event, this is more of a show piece than a dyed-in-the-wool Omega collector's item. A plain steel 105.002 homage would be more interesting, personally. Thanks for sharing the news, Imran! Art

Finally we see the rebirth of this legendary caliber. But...

I don't think this will power the regular steel Speedy. They just upgraded the caliber 1861 to become 3861 (with co-axial). It does not make sense to sell same watch with different caliber. I think the caliber 321 will be reserved for special edition Spee...
