Hello dear Art! Your picture kept me drooling ... That was a wonderful find you made. Not many watches made 50 years ago are found in this condition today...

...

As Nicolas said, I´m very fortunate... to have good friends like Art and Nico.

My work in getting your Seamaster was nothing in comparison with all the troubles you had to go through and time you had to invest to get this one.

And not only you finaly got it in your hands but you are taking the additional time required in getting it serviced after so many years it remained untouched.

It was a very lucky find indeed but I could have never reached it without your message telling about your discovery and your kind help and efforts.

This is something which always amazes me in this place: friendships develop no matter distance or time. And a generous friend is always ready to lend a hand when needed.

I can´t find the words to thank you Art for your kind help to make it possible that this unique piece untouched for decades will arrive to my collection.

All the best, Abel.

. . . will be as perfectly intact as Abel's. According to my watchmaker's timing machine, it runs damn nearly perfectly, five decades after it was made. Art

One day I’ll share my Robert Plant story with you ...

What better than personal delivery while making a vacation out of it! Congratulations to Abel for such a wonderful pickup , and to you for passing along the good fortune of the find. Funny, but every time I see a Flightmaster, I immediately think of you. ...

Abel spends part of the year in Florida, so more likely he'll receive it there, Alex. All's well here . . .
