The Panerai PAM512 and PAM513 42mm 1940 Radiomirs have spring bars instead of screws

for the straps.  What are your thoughts on this?  Did you wish they had the standard screw mechanism for the straps?

In any case, the P.999 movement looks smashing in the below PAM513 red gold. 

I don't know how many times to say this, but the large Rolex crown is to die for!

Apparently this is due to the thickness of the case/lugs. Was told that for the thin lugs, thread on the receiving end of the lug would compromise the structural rigidity hence they went for the spring bars. Personally I would have preferred the conventio... 

since you can disengage the spring bar by pushing from the outside...
