Officine Panerai

A couple of very old photos of what I consider as one of the most appealing modern Panerai. The purity of a no crown guard Panerai, even if I quite like the Crown Guard, as it part of the brand's DNA. But this one, without crown guard, is super pure. and ...  

I’ve always thought Panerai crown guard to be a little over the top. So I like this one!

the more I appreciate Panerai without the crown guard. Never could have imagined I'd feel this way but here we are.

At first I thought 372, but as much as I like it, I am not sure it is me, I might want to go 44mm instead.. Still debating... But that one, "marina militare" is really a nice piece...

I tried the 372, and I am still considering it, as I want to add a luminor, but not sure this is for me. . Still debating! I might want something just a tad smaller in the 44/45mm.

I am not really in favor with the lifestyle evolution Panerai is following with their latest products, at least they have lost me and I started to sell my Pnerais. This one is the last one staying for all the above mentioned reasons. Cheers, Martin ...  

..so much, I've recently gave mine, as a gift, to one of my oldest and dearest friends. He has a wrist that's bigger than my ankle and the 587 sits on it....perfectly. Incredibly, I couldn't to the same with the 587 "brother from another mother" the 673, ...  

… and sometimes second guess myself going with the 127 instead. Might have to just get one!

Always wanted the 587! at the time I was acquiring a 47mm they were unobtainium. I opted for the 372…a love affair I regret ending. ...
