Some pictures of my Ex Panerai Pre Vendome 5218-202/A Marina Militare and a killing detail.

Ok, this non matching dial is a killer in itself and would justify a mad love for it.

But there is another detail which is, for any Panerai lover, one of the finest cherry on the cake...

A detail which is revealed in the Libretto... The name of the first owner...

No wonder why I regret it, but it helped me to fund my JLC MMR...

Best,

Nicolas

Unbelievable that you let it go - for whatever watch!

Mon ami,

to fund the JLC MR is the ONE AND ONLY acceptable excuse to let this PAM go. What a watch...

The provenance of this watch as Bettarini's personal watch is amazing

But for the life of me I'll never understand the appeal of 'non-matching hands'. To think this helped you fund a JLC MMR is unbelievable and think you made a very wise decision!

I can understand your conflicted feeling....

I love the 202a and with such special provenance, even more delicious, but I must say you made the right choice with your MMR, till now out of all the MRs I have seen, it is the most unique and appealing, the combination of design and materials is sublime...

Agreed on both counts. This MM was a dream, but the MMR was and still is a grail. A strong love affair. As for the production numbers...

I would say less than 1000. 200 in platinum ( 2005 ), 200 in titanium ( 2006 ), then 175 in rose gold for the 175th anniversary of the brand, then the platinum Boutique Black dial ( not LE but special edition ), then some niche LE such as the Sincere, the...

super non-matching Nico,...

mine isn't one but over the years, it has become more "non-matching" LoL. It's interesting to see mine becoming creamier by the day, Mech. ...

I had it, alas... [nt]

The watch is spectacular!

That provenance though..... I'm speechless!!! After all these years still managed to surprise me from time to time Nicolas! Regards Sam PS. Here's a pic of my ex. ...

I learned to stop regretting my decision

Too many painful ones . But it won’t be fun without the headache and heartbreak 😀 Cheers Sam

That's true, too! [nt]

Listen, I agree this is a great PAM. But exchanged for the MMR?

Tremendously 1-sided deal in your favor. Sometimes things get too valuable to keep for those of us with limited means. You hit a grand slam to win a World Series with this deal.
