Some golden souvenirs: Panerai Pre Vendome Logo 5218/201 A, Marina Militare 5218/202 A and Submersible Slytech 5128/205 A.
I used to own all of them, and a bitm ore, at a certain moment of my collecting life...
And I kept only one Pre Vendome, the Logo.

The one I had was very close in its patina to this one.

The Marina Militare, certainly my favorite Pre Vendome. Credit picture Antiquorum.
And last but not least, the Submersible Slytech. Credit picture: Christies.
I don't know what we'll have tomorrow, but these one were really great!

models pretty good looking (with the 961 taking the cake). Luckily for me and my wallet/bank account I don't like..Submersibles in general LOLLLL

That being said, I believe that if the "Italians" would have had access to these..materials..(back then) they could have produced a model similar to these IMO. I find "Panerai" in these two models as much as I DON'T in any...dainty...one. After all, the e...

Strangely the Logo prices have come down but the 5218/202 are still at stratospheric levels.

My favorite detail of the 201....
Is the dial... not sandwich nor sausage dial...but lume filled cavity... less filled than 249; but still brilliant none the less! I love the uniqueness of the dial construction
