Cheers,

Nilo

PP - The Panerai Poll

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : December 5th, 2014-00:30
OK let us hear what Panerai fans think & feel Which one is your personal favorite 372 or 587 Just don't tell me both This or that Sincerely Damjan...

372

 By: patrickh : December 5th, 2014-00:38
chosen also for its caracteristic crown guard. The other one is just nicely done, IMHO.

Yes the crown guard

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : December 6th, 2014-03:14
That is feature I adore most on Panerai although it came relatively late in Panrerai history Damjan

The crown guard is

 By: patrickh : December 6th, 2014-03:49
for me representative of recent Panerai and I appreciate that. A real vintage is a must have but very rare and expensive these days. A new release of vintage spirit is just a pale copy, even if It can be done nicely of course. For me, Panerai is doing too...

Dear Damjan, I don't know the code........

 By: Sandgroper : December 5th, 2014-01:09
but for me it will be the Marina Militare, thank you very much:) I don't really like the Luminor but I love the Radiomir in small doses though, 40mm?:) Have a nice weekend. Cheers Francois

Knowing the code...

I think...

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : December 6th, 2014-03:18
that in the end of the day that would be my choice as well Yours D

The 372 IMO was one of the better things which came out of OP

 By: KC74 : December 6th, 2014-05:48
..but it did not stop there.. ..there were few more re-editions and remakes and remodifications of many more models after the 372.. ..not saying the 587 is not appealing but I prefer the 372 more, Damjan.

There are two of us Daniel

Dear Damjan: you put things very difficult for us...

 By: Subexplorer : December 5th, 2014-05:09
... as you request not to say "Both!". I personally feel that the 578 and 372 are the most desirable watches in the present catalogue of Panerai, at least for my personal "gusto". The fact that the 578 is an historic rendition or homage to a military (Ita...

Marina Militare

 By: salimelhage : December 5th, 2014-06:20
I would personally choose the Marina Militare. I find it's charm irresistible.

Yes charming piece for surre

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : December 6th, 2014-03:22
although I think that it should be regular as 372 :)

 By: nilomis : December 5th, 2014-12:27
We use to say that "conventions are made to be broken". But even with this in mind, I go to repair this "mistake" with a 510, soon. Cheers, Nilo

My dearest frined in OCD

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : December 6th, 2014-03:24
Yes that is one BIG issue with some Panerais and the pain is that historically correct is to not have second (in most cases) :( Love your one as well Sincerely Damjan

Simple OCD ...

Sometime hands make a difference

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : December 6th, 2014-08:59
and not only in watches :) ;) Now you and few others mentioned I agree that are true Panerai hands Thank you for input Damjan

Panerai PAM 372 for now

 By: Bill : December 6th, 2014-11:22
Unfortunately still don't have the 587 to compare. Bill Panerai PAM 372 ...

It really looks great..

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : December 6th, 2014-11:33
on both shots Top modern Panerai for sure Thank you for joining our poll Yours Damjan

Your time will come! [nt]

 By: Bill : December 6th, 2014-15:16

372 for the other reason not mentioned..

 By: Fjan : December 6th, 2014-22:47
I will pick the MM if it is not manual. I find the screw down crown not as convinent as the crown guard "mechanism" which is simple functional yet so panerai. I hate to imagine I might ruin the screw tread when doing such so often. Yeah, my pick is the 37...

Valid point janef

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : December 6th, 2014-23:57
If it is not manual wind is not Panerai for me :) Thank you for participating Sincerely Damjan

Of those 2, I'd pick the PAM372

 By: AnthonyTsai : December 7th, 2014-10:46
The crown guard is the decision maker for me. If I have to have only 1 Panerai, it has to have the crown guard. Cheers, Anthony

Love your reasoning dear Anthony

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : December 7th, 2014-12:22
and it looks like your vote placed heft on side of 372 :) Sincerely Damjan

The 372 is a big deal, but...

By: Ale (aka Fuciliere) : December 8th, 2014-00:39
...the Marina Militare sterile dial is a plus hard to match...then if I put the pencil hands and the SE 1000 pcs into the equation to me it's game-set-match for the 587.

So 587 won...

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : December 8th, 2014-03:23
Wimbledon Thank you for joining the poll and for clarification much appreciated Damjan ...

Which doesn't mean the 372 is not a great watch.

 By: amanico : December 8th, 2014-04:16
I was very happy to see Panerai releasing it, and still thinking about it... Best, Nicolas

Agree 101%...

By: Ale (aka Fuciliere) : December 8th, 2014-08:30
...the 372 was, is and will be a must have...
