Panerai PAM 997 Radiomir 1940 Ceramic Case / Green Dial.
This is a Radiomir which is still haunting me a bit, with its assets, the superb green dial and its doubts, the case size ( 48 mm ) and the black ceramic case.
As for the size, I fear 1 mm makes a big difference. I have to see it in the flesh.
As for the Black Ceramic case, I am usually not a fan of black watches, with few exceptions such as the JLC Amvox II Black Concept for example, or... This one.
The problem is to find a solution to see one.
What do you think?

I love it and almost bought one when it was introduced...
But hesitated because of the high price and the size.
Each year I hope they’ll present something that convince me to pull the trigger:
when I saw 997 it made me jump on the chair, then I saw the diameter and turned off the ardor... anyway I saw it in the showcase of an official dealer and it is, to my taste, amazing!
I have four 47 mm Pam's and this 48 just didn't feel right on my wrist...
Of course the high price didn't help either.
I have to agree with Orahu....
...Panerai did an amazing job with the "green dials". On a pure like it-don't like it basis, I like it a lot.
Well, the good news is black is slimming so maybe that extra 1mm won’t be so bad.
Lack of a crown guard should be a positive in terms of how it wears. The green on black, at least in the pictures, looks so so good.
