forgot to look at the dial! As usual, Nicolas, you know how to pick 'em. They tried to give the white face a spark with the blue chrono hands. but it's still too plain. No… you've picked the right one. Did you bite? The movement, alone, is worth a great deal. But you have your beloved Montblanc Chronograph which must have a very similar, if not the same, Minerva magic inside.
I'm glad you posted these. Too easily forgotten in the expectation that every year newer, more wonderous things must come on the market. I haven't said this before in these pages, but the watch industry's preoccupation with "something new" reminds me of US automobile industry in the 50s and 60s. (I'm sure to get into trouble, here. Mike, and a host of other members would do a better job of this comparison, but anyway….)

It got pretty ridiculous for awhile. There's something to be said for subtle changes to iconic shapes & sizes. Yes, I suppose we need something startlingly "new" once in awhile. But these days watch companies seem to trip over themselves in a race for something that catches the eye. How about making the innards better??? (Isn't there still room for improvement? Haven't the Independents taught the industry anything?)
