Panerai PAM 36 Marina Militare.

One picture to be credited to Revolution, of the PAM 36 Marina Militare.

Made in a limited edition of 200 pieces in 1999 ( B Series ), this was the first with the PAM 40 to come with a tritium dial and a titanium ( Grade 2 ) case. And the only one with the two mentioned characteristics plus a tobacco dial.

At that time, everybody was ready to kill to get one, and some years after too. Since then, the madness calmed down a bit, but still, it is a superb early Vendome piece.

Good memories!

Best,

Nicolas

Now is the time to pick up some nice pieces while the hype and prices are relatively low and the flippers and speculators are focused on Rolex and Nautiluses. SE's are also so much easier to get.

Didn't we ever stop? [nt]

Totally agree! Pam was all the rage that everyone would kill to get one even if they uses ETA engine. Too broke to get one back then and so too now...

And yes revolution! Not the really revolution but the magazine! One of my favourite past time activity many years back! ...

Somehow exudes a sense of history, even though it's from only 1999!

This would have been the watch to wear to protect us all from imminent Y2K disaster! ;-) Great color combination with that dial, lume, and titanium, by the way.

I will add the...tobacco...
