From my Panerai SIHH 2008 report: panerai.watchprosite.com
PAM310 - Luminor Chrono 40mm
Panerai made a new 40mm Luminor Chrono but this time didn't use the Zenith El Primero chrono movement. Uses the standard Valjoux chrono movement. Target release date is September '08. 500 pieces this year and price is 5,700 Euros.
Panerai had lots of requests for a 40mm chrono so they reintroduced it but this time used a different movement.
Notie that the bezel is polished and there is no tachymeter on the bezel. Very clean looking!
