Oh no, please do not let my horrible pictures change your impression! I am photically challenged in addition to not accounting for surrounding objects’ influence on color. There’s definitely no green hues in this model.

Besides the lighting, the pillow I have the watches on in last picture I suspect is distorting your view somewhat because the pillow has faint green undertone (to my eyes). Here is another couple of pictures from earlier with a better positioning [in poor lighting condition] which I think is a better and fairer representation.

New Destro

This one did catch my eye when I first saw it, especially as I’ve always been intrigued by the fact that Panerai has destro models. As I’m ambidextrous (by training since youth) I feel just as comfortable wearing watches on either wrist. I actually used t...

super original!

Indeed, it is interesting 🤔

I just realized that the dial has some semblance of an egg shell 🥚.

yes your second picture is sublime!

Hello ArmisE! Great shots! It shows beautifully the awesome texture of dial which is a feature I like so much.

I loved the dial when I viewed the first pictures in Internet and I have it in my wish list. I would like to see it in the metal first. I own a Pam 557 Destro and imagine this one is very similar. Though I am right handed I find the Destro versions very i...

Thank you very much for that added historical info on divers’ tools.

Yes, I actually bought it and received delivery of this piece. So we’re still getting acquainted

Killer duo!

Too kind of you, merci!

In a manner of speaking, but I would never put my two pieces up against that powerhouse duo!

I do wonder, are the 127 and 217 essentially mirror images of each other, or are there obvious differences in the case shapes/contouring?

I've seen an other couple of pictures...

from different angles and I have to say I don't like the creamy colour they chose. A white one (snow white) it would have been preferable, for my taste

I do agree with you on that, Sergio. But I did know up front that this was an off-white, or more so beige color, as opposed to a purer white...which would have been beautiful.

It is a curious color they chose. Still, I was too intrigued by the destro and the light colored dial. Thank you for your discerning comment, which I know many share.

I had a pretty extensive destros....

collection (I still have 3 or 4) so the..destro..factor has no hold of me. You, on the other hand enjoy it TOO MUCH!!!

Thank you, my friend. Totally agree that this is definitely one to be seen in the metal.

I wouldn’t be surprised if people had mixed emotions about the dial color, which is a sort of beige (but lighter in more illuminated settings). The dial texture, however, is very cool. And the hands are longer than the 372.

From one ambidextrous to another I say it looks at the very least interesting

My only fear would be what happens once the novelty factor fades. Does it remain a classic like the 557, which I adore? All the very best, Alex

Very pertinent point, which I did briefly wonder about.

 By: ArmisT : January 12th, 2021-13:23
Destros always intriguing to me, but I didn’t know what to make of the 557 since it did seem too similar to the 372 (from my unsophisticated viewpoint). So when I saw this latest reference, I said “that’s a notable contrast to the dark dials” which I was ...

Wonderful wrist shot!

Thanks Armis! This maybe a superfluous reason, but one nice reason of having small seconds at “3”

Is that you can have watch tucked under sleeve and see that your watch is still wound.... 😀
