nothing wrong with your movement
i have the 233k with 2002. indeed the watch has a "clutch"..you will not feel a hard stop like you do in the eta movements that are in the base and marina watches. when you get to the "end" the crown will continue to turn, but if you listen carefully, you will hear the clutch click and you will know to stop winding. don't worry, its my favorite movement and very accurate +3s/day over 9.5 days!

the winding itself....DOESN'T stop....as such. The movement itself, engages a CLUTCH (there's a distinct clicking, audible to the ear) that tells you you've reached the max even though, as I said you can still wind the crown. I've had the 339 for a long t...

I too have tried reaching the end while winding and have not been successful. After a few hundred winds the watch started making odd sounds. This was a big issue for me so declined buying the watch. Besides the winding issue the case discoloration problem...

perhaps the only thing i notice with the finishing is with the tiny screws holding the "lugs" in place. I don't think that the screws are ceramic and are perhaps just painted or coated...so they may be prone to chip. I love my 339, but it wasn't always th...
