I don't really see the new models as replacements...if they are, they aren't in the spirit of 000, or 005. I think the lack of a screw on back is deal breaker for me. I actually think that the springbars are just fine...I have chewed up my screws and screwholes and lugs with screwdirvers. I have considered getting springbars for my zero...a few vendors sell them and they have slots on one side to emulate the screw.
I think that the new models are a way to phase out the lower end models, but the feature set may be a mistake.
To be honest, the closed 6 and 9 throw me off more than the other stuff...just doesn't look historic to me.
