My first picture of one of my friend's Panerai PAM 587 Marina Militare.

This watch has everything I am looking for, when it comes to Panerai. A strong personality and design, a sober but timeless dial, and a question I didn't solve yet, the absence of the famous crown lever. I don't know if I prefer with, or without this device....

But one thing is for sure, this reference is one of my favorite among these Panerai from the last fifteen years.

Best,

Nicolas

Your picture highlights each of the charming features of this model.

But I would really like to see your critical review of the 587 vs 673, including your impressions from wearing them on your wrist.

Arguably more feminine beauty than the original

Along with the 249, my favorite modern Panerai

I have both the 587 and 673 and love both. But there's something very special about the symmetry, simplicity, and big crown of the 587.

Grazie, Amicu.

This is one of my favorite PAMs!

Together with the 687 and my 127 and 721. Here I would opt for the 587 (prior to the 687) since its 1940 Radiomir case with bigger crown intrigues me a lot and is an iteration I don’t own so far. Best Thomas

I can only agree, here.

673…

I meant 587 prior to 673 of course (not to 687). LOL

I got it. ;)

I am a BIG fan of this case as well and this is likely one of the very few reference i would still consider additing to my modest PAM collection...

as for the with or without crown debate, i think both have something to offer and not sure i could leave with only one of the case type! Cheers

Or both of them! ;)

I had the 372 and now have this 587. The radiomir lack or the crown-guard is for better comfort. And i find it is well balanced along with this dial. Note also that the 587/662 lugs are wider than their luminor brothers, the 673/663.
