Now last December I asked if any was available and the answer was same as you had: 250 pieces edition was depleted and no chance to get one for me. I was lucky to find this one in a well known platform at a price just a little over retail. It is in absolutely unworn condition full set so I jumped on it.
I´m very happy to find it indeed. Hope you will be able to find one for your collection. Dial is absolutely awesome! Cheers! Abel

Congratulations on this nice catch! I love destros and 47s but that dial is known to me as the yogurt pam due to its similarity with the fermented top skin of yogurt that my mother used to make at home when I was a kid, so sadly a pass for me

Like the unique dial…I am looking to add another PAM but in 44mm config, lets see….
45mm is also pretty good and looks a lot smaller on the wrist than one would think.
Give it a try and you will be pleasantly suprised.
I own Panerai in all most popular sizes: 47, 45, 44 mm. Panerai are the only watches beyond my "comfort zone" of the 42 mm range that I can bear on my rather thin 17,5 cms wrists.
May be because Big Size is part of the DNA of this brand. I also learned in my experience that more than size of a watch case the most important thing is the shape of the wrist (some are more rounded and some more flat, or a wrist bone is more evident or ...

45 mm probably yes… 47mm, with wire lugs should work, for eg., the 249 which i have. I also have the 372 which seems bit big with the straight lugs😅
