Good memories: A group shot of what was my Panerai collection in 2007.

Nov 06, 2022,10:07 AM

From let to right: PAM 198, PAM 249, Logo Pre V 5218-201/A, Mare Nostrum 301 and Slytech 304, Marina Militare 5218-202/A Non Matching, Daylight Slytech 218-207/A and Marina Militare PAM 36.

I also had the 127 / 217, the PAM 40, the PAM 1 PreA and the 5218-203/A. Aaah, and also the Tantalum Chronograph PAM 192. Well... That was till 2006 / 2007.

Then I only kept the Logo Pre V, the Mare Nostrum 5218-301/A and the PAM 249 " Cali ".

Good memories, for sure!

Please tell me your thoughts on the Mare Nostrum. How did it wear?

 By: John-E-Mac : November 6th, 2022-11:52
This model is a far outlier, but has a certain charm. It zagged small as the rest of the line zigged large. The anti-Panerai if there would be one. -John

It wore perfectly. It was my first Panerai, in the late 90's, very early 2000. The 42 mm case doesn't wear small, even compared to / or after having worn 47 mm ones.

A real charm, and well, not so Anti Panerai, as the Mare existed, as a proto... In 1943. In a much bigger case, though. ...

202 Non Matching

Could possibly be the one Panerai to rule them all. For two piece Panerai collection 203 is needed.

Of course!
