I can tell it's a good explanation because it both explains why I chose one with sausage for my most recent Paneari acquisition *and* why I've appreciated sandwich in the past.

I prefer flat dials....
for tritium models and the sandwiches for luminova/super luminova ones.
Both are great and have their place.
In general I always preferred Panerai with the sandwich dials but then when you see a great sausage dial that all changes, I really think it varies from watch to watch. So I don't think there is a right or wrong choice just whatever looks best at the time...
