Iā€™ve got a similar piece from that era, pam062 thatā€™s 40mm and also has the minute markers, something quite unusual for a Panerai

ā€¦ and this is not my watch. With my small wrists, I never got into Panerai at all, and I know very little about the models. However, today I had a very nice talk with an AD (after a very nice lunch, too) and he showed me this platinum beauty. I must say, ...

Love it.

Big date, blue dial, 42mm and 99 unit SE. What's not to love?

I collect panerai watches since 1998 ( along other watch brands since 1994) but this one is something! The brand went too far for me after 2014. Congratulations!

I feel the same way

Although I must confess I haven't closely followed Panerai over the years, just scratched the surface. But with this 065, I am quite smitten by its charm and the beautiful execution. Thanks for chiming in!

Frankly, I have no idea about the origin of the ebauche.

My quick search only had one hit. Unsurprisingly, on WPS. www.watchprosite.com So I guess, Suitbert would know much better than me.

Now, I am doubting...

and took it for a quarz job, because of the "dead seconds" function that makes it look like one. I didn't know much about movements (back then)

"Platinum" and not the...date which, for a true blue Panerista makes this model...horrendous. That being said, it's one of the early attempts of the Vendome Group at creating upmarket "jewelry" models (the 21 is another example) and move the brand from th...

I agree; something is not right about that date window

 By: Poky : October 29th, 2021-17:52
It has ruined the dial.

I agree without date it would be even better

Leave the date away and put a small op logo at six, omit the Platinum markingā€¦ this would be the perfect watch for me.

I maybe look at this model from a different angle because Iā€˜m not familiar with the brand

I agree about the date window not being typical for a Panerai, and why would a dive watch need a large date anyway? That being said, if you look at this watch simply as a watch, and not as a Pam, it looks pretty cool to me. That kind of elegant but casual...

Absolutely right....

...the only "aberration" on this watch is the name Panerai. Any other brand, I would probably buy 2...myself

A rare birdā€¦ it fits quite well to your wrist.

If u have to chance I would go for it. I am sure you wonā€™t meet a second person on a street wearing it ā€¦

Is this watch for sale?
