I because of the picture sequence, I overlapped the 1320 to the 915 (in my head) smile Base models, in Panerai nomenclature have nothing to do with cases but with DIALS. The 002, 009, 210 with 3-6-9-12 and 2 lines on the dial are referred to as...base models. The screwed in case back allowes for a greater water resistence, whereas the pressed case back, assure the perfect simmetry (the wording Panerai, is always in the same, central spot). In the screwed up case, the word Panerai is...all over the place. The cases of the 1085 and 915 are both Luminor 44mm cases and therefore there is no construction difference between them, for me at least.

Salut! We understood the 100m with screwed back for Radiomir lines - I have fews- but for a Luminor, it's quite fancy, even " fashion watch " and it's a consistant move to " a proper desk- office watch characteristics " with its 100m & snapped back. W...

I like the base panerai a lot because it’s the only ones that I have seen with the thick distorted crystal. My 915 and even the 1320 does not have that feature. So my only question is the bezel and case back? I hear they are pressed in? what’s the bezel l...

re-read the question a number of times and still don't know what exactely you are....asking The 915 and the 1085 have the same case, whereas the 915 has a different one. The 915 and 1085 have Luminor 44mm cases, the 915 has a 1950 case. As for the bezel a...

The 915 is NOT a 1950 case.

My question is regarding base panerai which is really what the PAM 1085 is. It just has different hands and dial color but the case and internals are the same. The base models have pressed case backs and different bezel construction. So my question is wha...

I read somewhere that the bezel on the models with pressed case backs are also pressed in from the inside but on other models it’s screwed in. I was never able to confirm any of this on any panerai model. In fact i did not know you can even remove the bez...
