The background was just overexposed on the second photo. iPhone 6. Which do you prefer, A or B? A B ...  

If you wanted to show detail, I would prefer post-processed photo. Arguably less (or no) artistic value, but it does the job. From a photographic viewpoint, the art is in the photo as taken (again, arguably) and I quite like your unprocessed image. Best B... 

featuring prominently in both pictures, neither of the two...for me.

Still trying to learn how to use it, but hopefully the photos will be a lot improved when I get familiar with it.
