I find this piece hard to take a middle position on, unless one isnโ€™t sure yet. ...

Thank you ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ. I felt this would have been so nice in a 1940s case without the crown guard!

I still wonder what motivated the destro decision on this one. Cโ€™est la vie.

+1

I like it too. Itโ€™s different. Agreed on the RH version. I will wait for it.

I have nothing against Panerai,

I just can't stand that what I consider to be an ugly-ass crown guard. Remove that and for me it would be perfect.

I admit that Iโ€™ve developed more of a liking for Radiomirs over the years...

but I still think the crown guard is cool and defining.

Are you sure that isnโ€™t Patrick Swayze ...

Absolutely, I totally appreciate it as that...

and also aesthetically. But this particular dial in a 1940 case would have been more intriguing overall IMHO...but it wouldnโ€™t have the destro feature that I find equally intriguing.

Aaah, yes, ala 6154?

Thank you for adding that picture and reference number.

They might have considered...

a DLC or composite case, it would have had a nice...cappuccino...effect. Just go on enjoying it too much!!!

Well, I for one, love it!

Looks like a guy was putting texture on his ceiling and sprayed his watch instead.

Note to self. Never take the crystal off your watch when painting.

๐Ÿ˜‚ That was actually also said the first time I posted...

and itโ€™s very true! Ever since then, when looking at it closely and noticing the texture and monotone color, I can only see it as how you describe. Itโ€™s the uniqueness of the dial that keeps me intrigued
