I have both 587 and 673....

and I agree with you, the 587 feels "chunky" on the wrist. The 673, for me, is one of the best 1950's cased model out there. For me any model with Marina Militare on the dial, comes light years ahead of any other models of Panerai. I would trade the 372 for a 673 any day of the week and twice on Sunday. smile

Consensus piece for today

There is little debate about this model and it’s ‘faithfulness’ (for lack of better word) to Panerai history and DNA. But in all honesty, the 47mm Radiomir is a bit much for me, with a much stronger affinity for the 995. Still, in the spirit of solidarity...

I like it [nt]

Thank you, Doctor.

That is sincerely high praise coming from you. Like you, I’m now partial to the 44mm models in general.

So true! Your 1314 is amazing, no question.

Singularly elegant and rugged at the same time.

To be completely honest

The 47mm radiomir case (1940) doesn’t work for me like a 47mm luminor case does. I didn’t realize this before getting, and the 673 seemed redundant with my 372. So, when i go 47mm, then 372 is the go to, despite wanting to enjoy wearing 587. But you can’t...

That's interesting

I can wear my 662 just as well as I can my 372. I guess go for the 995 then.

Looks great

But which one are you wearing on that photo (I’m new to Panerai don’t know all red numbers yet)

That's the 47 mm 587 he's wearing. [nt]

What debate? Who's debating?

this is a replica of a vintage Panerai. What's there to...debate?

I have both 587 and 673....

...and with that, I guess we all know now how I’m going to be spending my time today (Sunday) :)

That is very helpful what you say about the 587 feeling “chunky” to you as well. Thank you, Sergio.

As usual well summarized . I share your view.

The 673 has much more character to me than the 372. What’s your view if comparing the 587 and 673 ?

Thank you, I appreciate that.

As I think about it, I realize that the standard black dial just seems a bit too big and empty-ish, like a black hole. The hands are beautiful, but still not enough. However, in the 662, the color seems to flow out of the dial in an engaging way, so the b...

True . The 995 is an awesome watch.

It looks really good on the wrist , has the perfect size if u want to say so with a nice dial with a historical touch. So it depends want you want at the end. The 587 is a historical Hommage . The 995 is a nice modern interpretation and the best panerai d...

To me you can easily wear a 47 mm Radiomir 👌🏽

It fits quite well . the 587 is one of the modern Panerai which should be in the collection if possible

Thank you, Ahoi.

You characterized the 995 and 587 very nicely relative to each other. Each has its own place in a line up. I’ll see if I can find the right context in which to wear the 587 again. Thanks.

That would be great. As it’s one of the best modern historical Panerai ....
