It’s been some time since I took the Fiddy out

I forgot how charming this watch can be I even had to take it off at the stop light to admire it I think the Fiddy and Cali prove that a watch does not have to be super expensive to absolutely wow it’s owner. Even after 10 years of ownership I am still in...

My understanding was that all Radiomirs with a Roman-Arabic dial where referred to as a California PAM and all 47mm time only Luminors are referred to as Fiddy. At least that’s how we use the terms in my local watch circles. You learn something new every ...

with the Roman-Arabic dial have California dials. But for instance, if you mention you own a,,,,"Cali",,,, that's the PAM249. As for the 47mm Luminors, the all have a 1950 case, regardless of they type of dial they have (time only, tourbillon, equation of...

Really useful info, thanks for taking the time to post. Out of curiosity, who decided on the naming nomenclature? Is there an official source or was this developed and agreed upon through the years by the community

someone came up with a name and people around him/her just liked it and started using it. The LOGO (5218-201A), the Fiddy (127) and Cali (249) are accepted worldwide monikers. Then you have the GPF2/56 which was produced by Panerai at the request of the E...

Too often these 47mm watches don’t look like they “fit” the wrist they are on — for you, the 127 looks great!

Having freakishly large wrists is usually a curse as I can’t wear watches under 40mm, but in the rare case of Panerai it’s a blessing
