Elements of history

Congratulations on the piece. When I picked mine up, what I found was that the 992 includes many of the elements I enjoy from Panerai, even though it never existed. The sandwich dial, blued hands, brevettato stamp, 8 day manual wind and bead blasted case feel like they came from another era. What it lacks in perfect historical accuracy it makes up in harmony and good old fashioned fun. Plus it goes well on rubber so I can wear it in the ocean or on the motorbike. Here it was doing an offroad tour with BMW. Enjoy yours in good spirits!

I have had about ten PAM’s over the years and for about four years recently kind of forgot about them as I moved up the chain horologically. But have still always liked the sandwich dial and “discovered” this one that, for me, evokes the unrivaled charm o...

Thanks John!

It keeps growing on me.

I like this piece. Has a lot of cool features with the sapphire and brushed case and blue hands

I also had a look at this one and it is still in the list.

Panerai Watches have a lot of character and I think many “purist” here really do enjoy them!

the keyword for me is harmony — the piece is designed very carefully, balanced and with the Italian sensibility! Also, the finish is very special —

Great shot

It really doesn't matter if this exact configuration existed before...because it exists now for our enjoyment... ...the Rolex Explorer of today also didn't exist when Hillary and and Norgay summited Mount Everest.

This is my Blue Handed Radiomir as well

I had a lot of hesitations between this one and the venti, but finally chose the venti ... Wear it in good health 👍🏼

I would chose this piece over venti; ultimately I chose gold hands over blue… prefer domed

Sapphire… but not plexy… not to many choices in the radiomir realm! Even now I haven’t found the “perfect” radiomir 🤦‍♂️
