Panerai 2014 Collection: Radiomir 1940 Marina Militare PAM587 from Watches & Wonders in HK

 By: amanico : September 27th, 2014-07:06
I will make it short, this is a BOMB. This is THE watch I was looking for, from Panerai. First the case, which is sublime ( 47 mm ). Big? Well, not for every wrist, but this is a Panerai, and a Panerai, by essence, is a big Watch. Then the dial, sober, cl...

to have a solid personal idea,IMHO. I also preferred either a solid case back or a 3 days PR as for the calibre 3001 (but without sub-second). Maybe the next model in 2015 ;-)). Also waiting for a small Egiziano!!! One day, who knows??? Thanks for sharing...

the 6152 "look alike" connotations. The Marina Militare it's just too much to resist :-) I'm already in the process of trying to..switch, even though they'll make only 60 x 622 and 1000 of this one hahahahaha '

Just kidding!!! The piece is simple, pure and dare I say elegant yet masculine but would it be better and more wearable in 44mm? The case almost looks "plump" to me Overall a great piece, though Cheers, John

This is a must-have for me & the MM which you dislike is what makes it "da bomb" for me - that and of course, finally, a [non-Russian-Risti] 1940 with a 3-6-9-12 dial!!! Woo-hoo!!!

Panerai got the authorization to use this name. Remember the PAM 339 mess? My Favourite MM is a vintage one, then the 5218 202/ A , then the 36. This one could well be my second Fav in the Richemont era. Best, Nicolas

No brand, just like the old days

By: Ale (aka Fuciliere) : September 28th, 2014-14:46
All the vintage Marina Militare had no Panerai brand on the dial, the only exception was the four liner 6152-1 with MARINA MILITARE and LUMINOR PANERAI. All the other 6152 and 6152-1 were just Marina Militare, that's where the PAM 587 comes from.
