I've bought an EV because there's no way I want an ICE car again. BUT...

... I have no confidence whatsoever that a wholesale shift to EV will save us. This is not just because of the raw materials required to build them or that vehicular emissions aren't the main contributors to global warming. The reason that we're goosed is because the sheer scale of transformation necessary is simply too vast to us apes to address fast enough. The planet will restore balance in its own way and that means flushing most of humanity down the drain. In the meantime, expect a world in turmoil of a magnitude most people can't even comprehend today.

This isn't climate pessimism. It's realism. I came to this conclusion in the early 1990s and everything I've seen, experienced and done since at all levels of government, corporate and third sector around the world makes it clear we're on a highway to hell.

there is, objectively, more truth to your statements than not.... It is what it is, the only way is forward, and we'll inevitably see what that brings, or should I say our descendants will see what that 'bestows' upon them........ Cheers, Filip
