Montblanc Orbis Terrarum.

 By: amanico : July 9th, 2020-14:39
These last months, I used to post my 1858 Tachymeter with its gorgeous manual winding chronograph movement, the Cal 16.29. Here, with the Orbis Terrarum, we are leaving the field of exquisite horology to go the playground of coolness. Cool, this watch def...

My favorite, too, but 4 times more expensive! But with a greater movement, for sure. ...

Yes, a true JLC. [nt]

Had chance to try it on the boutiques few years ago.

Nice finish and size (I prefer the first generation 41 mm than the newer 43 mm). One thing that I am not fan of, is the rather cluttered dial and lack of contrast of the hands. I wonder if they apply some lume on the hands that can improve the legibility....

Thanks for sharing my friend! One of the nicest non-Minerva Montblanc IMO

I personally prefer it over the 1858 Geosphere.

Yes, me too. [nt]

Thanks for posting. I remember when this first came out I think it was around 2015. For whatever reason I missed purchasing it back then and just kind of figured I would do without. Imagine my surprise when I was in Southern California about six months ag...

Would be nice to see a review of this side by side with the JLC..

or did you do one already? Of course, I know it's not an apples to apples comparison. I prefer the MB with the projection map. It adds a bit of depth and charm to the dial. I don't even mind the Sellita. I think it adds a small twist to the whole world ti...

And here, the review on the Geophysic UT.

It helped that sales clerk gave me an employee discount. But wished it had a seconds hand.

Am happy with my orbis terrarum

I finally bought one today, thanks Nicolas for your awesome review, I bought the bracelet 41mm version. I love the PP WT but slightly out of my budget. I love WT watches too, recently bought the FC WT with date but the date dial cover up 5 cities, a pain ...

Congratulations! Great choice

I opted for the colored dial but luckily I got one of the extra editions as they all came in 41 as well (whilst all other colored dials were 43) ...

Cool and special one!
