NWA - Seconde au Centre Retour à Zéro from Villeret

Aug 13, 2020,12:13 PM

Today I finally picked up my new Villeret timepiece at my local Montblanc boutique. It is a beautiful Seconde au Centre Retour a Zero in white gold produced in an edition of 8 pieces (41mm).

The movement is a superb Minerva Caliber 13.18, hidden beneath a hinged cuvette with special release mechanism. It features a zero-reset-function which works like a permanently running chrono.
The dial is of solid 18 K gold with hand-crafted silver-plated circular-grained decoration. The sapphire crystal is domed on the case.

To me a pure beauty and I am so happy that I was able to get this watch smile

More owners of Villeret timepieces are on WatchProSite than any other site!

Villeret Seconde Authentique with caliber 62.00 and a small second; mother of pearl dial; edition of 58

The stock is managed in the HQ, my boutique just sells the pieces to me.

So I enquire for certain pieces and they tell me some time later yes or no. But I have seen for sale in my boutique the Villeret Tachydate in red gold which was introduced in 2012.

the one attached but in red gold with egg colored dial

Believe it or not, I performed a review of this same Villeret cased in rose gold . . .

. . . over ten years ago on our Montblanc forum. Art ...

I have thoroughly read your review with great pleasure before I ordered this timepiece!

so thank you so much for all the valuable information

One of the reasons it was amenable on my wrist . . .

 By: Dr No : August 14th, 2020-08:14
. . . was the blend between the rose gold case and my skin tones. If it had been the white gold version that had been reviewed, I might not have come to the same conclusion. ;-)

Thanks to you. [nt]

This watch was launched more than ten years ago and I am amazed one of the eight had remained unsold! And yours is number 8 - well done!!

I understand they keep some special pieces which are not produced again and again to showcase them in marketing material, exhibitions etc

so when I enquired I was lucky (the benefit of long standing customer relationship I guess)

That is what we call 'fate'!

Enjoy your gorgeous timepiece. I had one of the 58 rose gold mono pusher chronos but it was too thick for me.

Gorgeous. [nt]
