My advice? Go! I would have preferred red to orange, too, but the rest is awesome, at a killer price. If I had the funds, I would go for it! [nt]

Dear All, I had the opportunity to see the Montblanc 2020 novel 1858 split second chronograph in the MB boutique today. My initial feelings are as follows: 1. The Minerva movement is gorgeous as expected. Polishing of the movement is exceptional. Activati...

Thanks for your advice, Nicolas.

The movement view is indeed beautiful. Only if the markings and hand are red instead of orange. The watch is also not unbearably thick. Best, Henry ...

The movement is what drew me in, the current company (montblanc) and their atrocious customer service and after-sales services is what pushed me away.

There’s a reason why PP, VC, ALS and JLC charge higher prices for their higher complications...you get your money’s worth. Just a humble opinion of someone who’s had to deal with montblanc repairs

And I also have the same problem with the color scheme. Red on blue, or orange on black or grey would be killer. Best, Daniel

Also probably one of the best values in the real high horology. If the size works for your wrist you should go for it!

you should decide quickly

Hi, Brandon, Sorry that I did not take any pictures of the movement. As I have no hesitation that the movement is superb.

I just have some reservation on the dial, hence took some photos for me to think about it.

I havent had the chance to see this in the metal yet

But based on the pics I have seen so far and the movement, its definitely a superb value chronograph for what it is. Only thing is the size and thickness is not for me personally.
