Montblanc / Minerva roll-call!

 By: KMII : January 24th, 2017-02:56
I would like to ask you for a favour in my new moderator role - to give me some more transparency, so to speak Arie has already done a roll-call for the owners of the 1858 Tachymeter and I have had a look at various postings here over the past several yea...

I have a Pythagore 34mm too

 By: Esharp : January 24th, 2017-03:56
Salmon dial with Arabic numerals. But no picture - she is away at the doctor\'s for a little tune-up. I will welcome her back soon and post a photo... Best E.

OK, 2 Minerva Pythagore's right for the start!

 By: KMII : January 24th, 2017-03:57
And there will be more of those, as I know of several others already Thanks Esharp!

My dear Kristjan,

 By: Speedie74 aka Mr. Torquise : January 24th, 2017-04:25
two original Minerva from the Frey-Era left here, one is the Anniversary Dial Model other is the Avus II chronograph. I post now only a picture from the chrono, but I will make some others also from the Pythagore! Yours, Adam ...

That is gorgeous, Speedie74!

 By: M4 : January 24th, 2017-04:43
Just wow. M4

Wonderful - 4 Minervas to start with :)

 By: KMII : January 24th, 2017-04:45
3 Pythagores, one (if I recall correctly) Avus II Chrono!

That is right, Monsieur! [nt]

 By: Speedie74 aka Mr. Torquise : January 25th, 2017-12:40

I have the 1858 Tachy . . .

 By: M4 : January 24th, 2017-04:46
. . . and I'm interested in acquiring additional Minerva movement pieces. I liked the new Time Walker UTC, but don't have a need for a multiple time zone watch, so will pass on it. M4

Writing concurrently :)

 By: KMII : January 24th, 2017-04:47
You answered just as I was asking What's your view on the Rally Timer Counter then, M4?

I like it a lot, EXCEPT . . .

 By: M4 : January 24th, 2017-04:54
. . . the bold red letter words RALLY TIMER on the dial. It would be challenging for THE top spot on my buy list if not for that (unnecessary) inscription. M4

I suggest you have a look at it live...

 By: KMII : January 24th, 2017-06:29
I find it is much more subdued on the wrist than in some of the pictures. But it certainly isn't an only / everyday watch

Only 1.

 By: willski : January 24th, 2017-06:14
1858 chrono #56 for me. Would not be surprised if I add one more down the line at some point

Thanks, Willski!

 By: KMII : January 24th, 2017-06:28
And that is quite a piece Quite curious to see, which one may be next for you! So 3 Minerva Pythagores, 1 Minerva Avus II and 2 Montblanc 1858 Tachymeters in SS so far...

These are some of my Montblanc useful objects..... Montblanc Rieussec Chronograph GMT, Marcel Proust Edition fountain pen, Meisterstück fountain & ballpoint pen set and leather goods Do I qualify? Regards, MTF ...

More than fully :)

 By: KMII : January 24th, 2017-09:13
Was waiting for your Nicolas Rieussec already! I guess as is often the case with the brand, the pens came first?

Yes the pens came first

 By: MTF : January 24th, 2017-10:19
We collected pens before watches. Those were the days when I actually did handwriting daily. It was also the corporate culture in my company that Vice Presidents wrote with a Montblanc Meisterstück fountain pen. I never found out if they bought it for the...

LOL :)

 By: KMII : January 24th, 2017-20:47
Funny how such cultural artefacts develop in companies Thanks a lot for sharing this!

I will join with a oldie but a goodie....

By: blomman Mr Blue : January 24th, 2017-14:22
the Swedish Marin, VD 712! Best Blomman ...

A real beauty, Blomman!

 By: KMII : January 24th, 2017-20:49
And I believe one of the few post WW2 military Minervas, right?

Not sure....

By: blomman Mr Blue : January 25th, 2017-00:09
I was hoping you would find out the facts! Best Blomman

Working on it :) [nt]

 By: KMII : January 25th, 2017-01:35

2 watches, 5 pens, other accessories

 By: gyang333 : January 24th, 2017-19:53
I have a TimeWalker dual carbon chrono, a Star Chrono, 2 Meisterstuck pens (145 ballpoint, legrand fountain pen), a F Scott Fitzgerald fountain pen, a Marc Newson FP, and a starwalker fineliner plus leather goods, fragrances, etc. Love it all! But I'm not...

Thanks for sharing Gyang333!

 By: KMII : January 24th, 2017-20:50
Quite a collection! As a TimeWalker owner - what is it about the new model that you like less?

Mostly small cosmetic accents

 By: gyang333 : January 25th, 2017-10:18
But I'm not a fan of the elimination of the skeleton lugs that made it iconic, nor the reduction of the numerals as a primary focus on the dial. I understand that the new bezel is more functionally useful, but that was another change that I'm just not use...

I hear you!

 By: KMII : January 25th, 2017-21:43
The skeleton lugs have indeed become iconic - curious if the two variations will continue side by side...

Pythagore

 By: deBalzac : January 25th, 2017-06:45
Only one, the Minerva Pythagore A481-R8 and the signatures of André and Jean-Jacques Frey Best Regards Livius ...

Thanks Livius!

KMII, thanks for posting for me! In the meantime, would you mind looking into what happened to my account. It\'s happened before and Robin helped me resolve the issue of not being able to upload pictures. Thanks.

Lovely collection!

 By: KMII : January 26th, 2017-21:57
Do you have any of their watches, even if no pictures of them? The Rouge et Noir is quite the thing!

And this one, The Exotourbillon Rattrapante. Without Tourbillon, please.
