Old school watchmaking modernised.

The MB13.21 is based on the vintage Minerva caliber 13.20, a classic hand-wound chronograph movement from 1920-1930. The 13.21 is improved and finished to the highest standard by the Manufacture in Villeret. This is a testament that good things are meant to stand the test of time.

This was a laudable effort by the new Minerva when they took over from the family after the millennium. It was a sensitive redesign and re-implementation of the classic movement but for modern production. Perhaps this is why Richemont was so keen on takin...

Even though Richemont gets quite alot of flak for “gifting” Minerva to Montblanc, it is hard to imagine to what will happen to Minerva if they are gifted to some of the other brands in the Richemont Group like Panerai, JLC or IWC. It is more than likely t...
