Heavy-weight-champion case

Feb 21, 2021,04:19 AM

After wearing my new platinum chronograph for 10 days I am still not used to its weight. So I made a check with my up to now most heavy watch, a WG Daytona.

Depending on the strap length, my WG Daytona scores actually 215 gram. The Montblanc Villeret platinum case on leather strep has got 238 gram!!! (The fully platinum Daytona is on average 282 gram to my knowledge).

This Villeret feels so heavy as all its weight is concentrated on the case and not the strap - I guess it will take some more weeks to get used to it, it is very hefty.

Have a sunny Sunday!

In PT and blue enamel nice!! I have seen this piece before in Singapore during a Montblanc event some years ago. I would have considered this if not for the fact I already own the WG version. As it's the only piece it should be the one you bought. You are...

I have admired yours and your pictures for some time - love the black dial

I got the 47mm case with the 16.29 - the smaller case 1/1 in blue enamel with the 13.21 was sold.

It is a very beautiful watch....weight notwithstanding...

Be careful taking it on and off.....

That is my favorite Daytona dial unless one goes PT...maybe someday!! Villeret is huge watch with nothing to counterbalance that deadweight case around the wrist....

...different wearing experience. But what a spectacular watch if it fits your wrists. Fan of both these. Similar tastes we have.

thank you - love that WG with the racing dial as well

but first we do some joint racing as long as my hands can hold the steering wheel (the chronograph is good training)

That's some serious weight!

That's half a pound! Nearly a quarter kilogram!

Wow didn’t expect that it is that heavy
