Honestly how could you not like this watch?

Grand feu enamel dial, Ti case with beveled lugs, gorgeous movement and Rattrapante. It literally has just positives screaming in it. I’m a big fan of the orange touches makes the watch a lot more playful. I apologize for my bad pics which is my MO. Needl...

Is that dial considered a grand feu enamel?

 By: patrick_y : April 20th, 2022-19:54
Wow. I just read about this dial! It is indeed a transparent blue grand feu enamel dial! Wow! That's definitely an unusual dial! It is a tremendous watch! Just an amazing piece of high horology!

I know right? The blue is so brilliant that I thought it was lacquer. But nope it is Grand Feu enamel.

Montblanc really hit it out of the park with this one. Everything just works so beautifully with this watch. MB really is a force to be revered.

I do like it LoL....

I like it a lot , cheekily, Filip

Thank you!

I had to stop myself when they offered me "your" new entry two months ago

 By: penfriend : April 21st, 2022-06:47
in the metal it is even more impressive than in pictures

Yes, definitely.

 By: amanico : April 21st, 2022-06:51

Don’t know how you did it:)

 By: jp884 : April 21st, 2022-13:31
It is definitely more impressive in the metal than in pics. Here it is next to my old 1858 tachymeter. ...

well, ... another MB rattrapante short of arriving at that time

 By: penfriend : April 21st, 2022-14:24
I actually prefer the more industrial crown to the onion one - you have both, well done!

oh no, I meant there was one arriving at the time when they offered me the blue Rattrapante

 By: penfriend : April 22nd, 2022-08:13
it is now already with me as posted before ...

This one... Hmmmmm...

 By: amanico : April 22nd, 2022-10:33

#1 stunner!:)

 By: jp884 : April 22nd, 2022-20:39

That and if they kept the onion crown on the 1858 tachymeter..

 By: jp884 : April 20th, 2022-21:00
That crown is sublime. ...

Agreed!

 By: amanico : April 20th, 2022-21:40

+1

Honestly, you have all the reasons to love it. A superb movement, a great titanium case, and an intriguing dial. I said intriguing, because I asked to Montblanc if they were sure it was an enamel dial.

 By: amanico : April 20th, 2022-20:49
They confirmed it to me. I am lucky enough to enjoy this watch thanks to our good friend JLC Thomsen who let it to me. And the more I see it, the more I enjoy it. Best, Nicolas

Right Nico!? I completely agree with that dial.

 By: jp884 : April 20th, 2022-21:02
Also I love the loud audible ticking of that slow beat movement. My assistants were near me and asked me “Is that your watch ticking?”

What a stunner

 By: TeutonicCarFan : April 20th, 2022-21:41
Love this movement, dial, and Ti case helps keep a bigger watch manageable on the wrist. Strap helps make everything pop👍

And thicker... ;)

 By: amanico : April 20th, 2022-21:42

Also I love the grey of the TI case, a ss case with this brilliant blue dial would have been too brilliant.

 By: jp884 : April 20th, 2022-22:15
The case mutes everything down a little. And also improves overall wearability like you suggested. I have a green suede strap coming in that will go good with the blue dial I believe.

I agree here too.

absolutely gorgeous

 By: Gelato Monster : April 20th, 2022-22:03
the dial is stunning the movement is extraordinary just perfectt.

Thanks GM!

I have to ask: have you tried an orange strap?

By: Chronometer (aka yacomino) : April 20th, 2022-22:30

Still waiting on the confirmation I can actually get one…but it’s looking good so far…just not sure I like the idea of buying it without being to see it in the flesh first!

By: Chronometer (aka yacomino) : April 20th, 2022-22:56
I am curious how big it will fit on my wrist and legibility due to open work design. Everything else is a no brainer

That's the story of my life, every watch I like besides Rolex and Omega I don't have access to see in the flesh.

 By: jp884 : April 20th, 2022-23:02
The PNW is horrible for watch shopping, So the greater part of my collecting years have been purchases based on reviews and photos. So far it's worked out pretty well for me. I cannot think of a watch where I have done my research and it hasn't been what ...

I agree they will likely sell quickly. Similar to you most of my watches I could not see or try before where I live.

By: Chronometer (aka yacomino) : April 20th, 2022-23:14
Now it’s ok but I made several very costly mistakes 4-5 years ago before figuring out what works or not for me. I seem to have a better track record the past two years or so!

That is correct 16.29

 By: jp884 : April 20th, 2022-23:35

Very cool And good to know! Thanks for sharing!

By: Chronometer (aka yacomino) : April 21st, 2022-00:20

What is the name?

 By: CH Gruyère : April 20th, 2022-22:25
Reference? Stunning!!!

Thanks, it's the MB 1858 Rattrapante or split seconds with enamel dial.

 By: jp884 : April 20th, 2022-22:42
It was released in 2020 LE 0f 100 but they get trickled out over the years. This was only the second one the boutique received since release as they are carefully made and not rushed out of the Villeret Maison.

Haha so you have number 2. I got number 4 with the good help of Nico.

 By: jlc.thomsen : April 27th, 2022-21:42
Let’s have a roll call in a year and see how many # we can get to!! 2 and 4 is a good start. This watch is so beautiful. A 2020 stealth sport watch with some pocket watch DNA. The finish of the movement is an ode to Swiss horology. ...

It's definitely a keeper for me..

 By: jp884 : April 27th, 2022-22:44
Everything about the watch is top notch and all for under $40k for what you get, it's a bargain. I actually have #12 not #2. But it would be interesting to see how many forum members end up with this jewel in a years time.

Thanks JP-same for me.
