As for kits...
There are several options, depending on what you want to spend. If you want the full performance, a Witschi is possibly your best bet but then it will cost you more than this Montblanc 
At the lower end you can start with an iPhone / smartphone attachments, such as those made by Frederique Constant. These require much more patience and a very quiet environment but can be useful, even if reviews were mixed.

Hard to answer if the steel looks more formal but you may be right - the monochrome look you produce with it is certainly colder, more detached than what you get with the warmer, RG case. I guess you can dress it down, especially if you change the strap f...

I fully agree - it is an honest watch - the type of watch making that went into the Minerva Pythagore (and generally into Minervas prior to the Gnutti era, which got elevated to a different level of finishing, and price). IMHO definitely a watch that fits...

Got another non-Montblanc incoming, and then I will need to decide on the next move. Well, there is a watch present for a family member first, which will not be a Montblanc, and then... But to be honest, I still do not know.
