Adding my first Montblanc - Montblanc Villeret 1858 Vintage Pulsographe

Rewind to one year ago at an amazing GTG when I first saw a beautiful pulsometer chronograph which belongs to fellow Purist Beerstyle. It was love at first sight when I held the watch in my hands, 39mm WG case, Grand Feu enamel pulsometer dial, blued hands, red chronograph second hand and featuring a expertly hand finished column wheel Minerva chronograph movement from Villeret. It ticks every single boxes in my wishlist. However when I tried to find one, I realised that it is an extremely limited edition of 58 pieces and was released in 2013. Basically I couldn’t find any at the time and gave up on my search. However this charming piece has remained in a little corner of my mind since then

Fast forward to a few days ago. It was a stroke of luck that I chanced upon a NOS piece with current dated papers. The stars aligned as the conditions for this purchase were all satisfied. So here I am proudly and humbly adding the watch I fell in love one year ago, the beautiful Montblanc Villeret Vintage Pulsographe to my small collection. This is also my first column wheel chronograph and I am very glad that it is a Montblanc Minerva chronograph (I have been admiring them for quite awhile already).

Well done on acquiring this beauty. Cazalea

Yes! I think for the price point, it is definitely very hard to find anything at this level of finishing

I love the enamel dial and blued hands too. It’s a beautiful complete package!

Now that is an awesome watching inside and out!

And your story about finding an NOS piece is part of what makes this hobby so fun

Yes unexpected find is always the most fun and exciting

Definitely perfect for smaller wrists like mine. But have to say it is very heavy even for a WG watch.

Thanks man! [nt]
