I'm with you about the hands. I think it's just a bit too modern given the otherwise classical layout. Indeed, leaf hands would've been better.
While I still prefer the JLC esp in black dial configuration, this is quite a good offer from MB. What does that 3rd hand for by the way? Too big for a seconds hand..
Thanks for the pics. MB is really moving in the right direction with their offerings.. Arguably better than companies like Breitling who've been in the game longer. People forget what a big mountain it was to climb to offer serious timepieces when they're known for their pens. And yet here they are. Not a lot of companies can swing it the way they did. Now if they can just do something about after sales support. We've been reading too many for comfort here about service issues.. which has really nothing do with the pieces themselves but the way things are handled.
Also, like what others have mentioned, they may need to have a strategy/vision in place to clearly differentiate offerings. People like to think in categories so where does Minerva fit versus this one for example. Sure the movement is clearly more superior or beautiful but it's not readily apparently dial side. I'm sure they'll get to it at some point. Not that difficult. Top tier would be Riuessec = modern and Minerva = Heritage. Next tier would be these pieces (unfortunately branded heritage). Next next tier would be the Timewalker series and another one for Smart watches.
