For 3k it is very well done.

I understand the GMT isn't a jumping hour, but isn't that just an extra minute or two in setting the times up while on the airplane? Or, am I missing something?

Seems like Blancpain will soon be competing against Timex. They should have left Minerva be Minerva.

I think there's a lot of folks here who've moved on regarding the Montblanc vs Minerva branding..

I'm at that point where I hear the word Montblanc and the first word I associate it with is Minerva.. and watchmaking. To think they're really known for pens, yes? As for the BP/Timex comment, I'm not sure I know how to react to that but thanks for commen...

Slowly digesting the other things that my go the opposite way with this watch. Minor niggles like the "Minerva" caseback design and perhaps the "Heritage Automatic" come to mind. But the major one might be the movement.. for most, an ETA-based (ETA clone?...

The decision to do dressier, rather than sportier pieces. There's enough of the latter out there anyway and I see little market need for more - even if their current popularity is high. And this is not at the price point, where everything in-house is cons...

Context is everything with the inhouse/movement argument. I plan to drop by a MB boutique next week. Hopefully, they already have this on stock. I want to see how it sits and feels on the wrist.
