Saw the BLACK MC Chrono

 

This one was for me, not as special as the RG... well, you may say, of course, it was not RG... but while this is a very nice watch, the white date does bother... it's funny... this is avery, very nice watch that I would be very happy to own... and yet... in SS, it has the vaguest whiff--as I've said before--of the pedestrian... while in RG, it is just WOW. Seth at the LA Boutique agreed that the RG is the sportiest of the models, which is odd, but I think, true... it is funny how your emotions color your TACTILE experience, too--using the chronograph in this SS version was not as delightful as on the RG, but I KNOW they were identical... today the chrono felt fine and good, but.... well... who can explain the emotions?

I also saw the RG MUT moon, which--also oddly, I preferred in SS! I prefer the dress watch in SS and the sportwatch in RG... very strange!

Well, I'd be very pleased to own any of these JLC's, but if I were buying... the RG MC Chrono and SS moon are my choices.

Indeed RG is not usually what you would say makes a watch sporty. I guess perception can sometimes play games with our mind. I still prefer SS watches myself. Best regards, George

I think the RG Chrono is made more special by its silver dial, whereas the RG MUT Moon is more traditional with its cream face. From pics at least, I too prefer the latter in SS.

Which one?

RG chrono, no question... will I buy this model immediately? Probably not. But it has captured my heart, and I see one in my future.

Boutique Edition perhaps?

Perhaps the boutique edition, with SS case and RG hands is the best compromise Does anyone know if all 150 of those are sold out, or are some still hanging around in boutiques?
