Jaeger Lecoultre Master Ultra Thin 34 mm, steel, black dial. Some pictures of a marvel.

 By: amanico : December 12th, 2015-00:36
With the platinum case blue dial, this steel black dial from the late 90ies is my favorite. The black dial gives a charming presence to this dressy and discrete watch, whose case is 34 mm big and 5, 75 mm high. Of course, since, we saw thinner models from...

It is really a marvel...

Many JLC offerings qualify for that statement Nico. That is why since I got my first JLC, this brand has stayed as my top 3 fav brands since Cheers Robin

the 2000/2001 Manufacturer's Book of Timepieces says (on page 192) that the case is 4.2mm. Did something change on the watch, or how JLC measured it? -Dean

If they said it.. ;) [nt]

To develop this subject a bit further

 By: eklektik : December 16th, 2015-12:28
Hello all, Few points/questions to develop this lovely model: 1/ To complete the story on the model, does anybody have got any information on the white gold cased + grey dialed model? I\'ve seen it here and there, but never here 2/ Something that surprise...

Some informations.

As for the codification, if I remember well, you first start with the model, then you have the material of the case, then the material of the strap or bracelet, and you end with the dial color OR random number. The MUT models were steel, white gold, plati...

Happy New Year!

 By: Cardio : December 31st, 2015-07:41
Etienne, Here's one photo I just took--and which I also took the liberty of winding it forward 30 minutes or so to midnight--to wish all a Happy New Year! I came late to this thread, which I thoroughly enjoyed because I also like this model very much. The...

Now that is a rare bird, Cardio. Bravo. Yes...

Ruthenium dials were mostly associated with platinum case, from JLC. First we had a series of Pt Cases / Blue Dials, then Pt Cases / Ruthenium dials. Always a pleasure to see this one! Best, Nicolas

Nice one Cardio, thanks for sharing. Your watch looks very nice.

 By: eklektik : December 31st, 2015-10:01
Now you mentioned it, I remember ruthenium dials. Did your model come with see through back? The two special material combination. (White gold and ruthenium) must indeed have boosted the price up! That must be why they are more rare. If you have additiona...

Dear Etienne, A very good first day of the new year to you! Yes, my watch comes with a display case back, which was one of the major triggers on my part for this purchase...If it had a closed-caseback I would have moved on to something else. I attach here...

Thanks for the nice additional shots!

How old can be the diamond version

 By: basarab : June 9th, 2021-15:28
For a couple of years I bought a 145.8.79.S … the diamant version. It was intended as men model although my daughter may use it with pride. Of course, the real diamond is the caliber 849 inside. She understands less about it though, so is good to have som...
