I don't disagree with anything you say ... Yes, Jenni Ellie speaks as if she has knowledge and authority, and she doesn't. At least she doesn't present herself as a journalist, but that doesn't answer your criticism anyway. I completely understand why she rubs you the wrong way.
I honestly wish everyone had your high standards. Unfortunately in this day and age the battle against disinformation is pretty much lost. Including of course areas infinitely more important than watches.
I have lowered my bar significantly, trying to extract grains of sanity here and there if I can ... Sad state of affairs.
I don't follow Jenni Ellie but I have seen a few of her videos. I of course haven't learned anything about watches from them but I think they give a glimpse into how young people think about various brands.
Both Jenni Ellen and Hodinkee worship Rolex. What the Hodinkee staff wears, Hodinkee readers, her watches - Rolex dominates. So I think it is interesting to ask the question - why so little passion for JLC? This question, not her answers, is my only takeaway from her video.
Anyway, always a pleasure to escape to this forum and have a sensible exchange of opinions - thank you!
