Some fresh pictures of the Jaeger-Lecoultre Master Ultra Thin 39 Perpetual Calendar Steel / Black.

Among the 25 000 pictures I lost in September 2017, there were several photos of the Master Ultra Thin 39 Perpetual " Black ".

So I had to take some fresh ones during my last visit at the Jaeger Lecoultre Manufacture.

In my opinion, this is the coolest version of the MUT 39 Perpetual, to date.

The only detail I regret is the " years window ", located between 7 and 8 o'clock which is pretty intrusive. For the rest, it is just superb. And the choice of the Master Ultra Thin case is top elegant, too.

Here are the photos.

Aaaah, and please, Jaeger-Lecoultre, try to find a solution to offer us the possibility to adjust the calendar through the crown, forward AND backward!

perfect size and thickness. I would be an improvement if they could redesign the year window or even better delete it. It’s crazy not to be able to adjust the calendar through the crown.

"this is the coolest version of the MUT 39 Perpetual, to date" I seconded that

I have many wristshots on this watch, some being better photographed

But this shows the year more prominently, trying to persuade other purists that it's actually not too obtrusive

Thanks, Henry. [nt]

I wonder if it's possible to just put the year window at the back..

Granted that it may not be easy to do being an ultra thin and all. But its info that you don't need to be reminded of every day. Plus, I don't even mind having a sealed case back with just an small window showing the year perhaps. Having said that, if I w...

I have finally seen this in the metal and I’ve re-thought my view on the date

I actually find it to be an interesting detail because it is a feature that’s rarely seen on other watches. It also underscores the fact that the nature of this complication is that no resetting is needed for hundreds of years, and having an actual window...

black dial is a beauty !

i don't recollect which brand...i recently saw a PC model where the year window is taken to the 'case back' view so it doesn't break the dial symmetry. despite the year-window, i like this version over the new version...i think in this version 'everything...
