Shades of blue
Barely had the time to take a few pictures of it yet but enough to see that I am not very good at it!
The memovox timer do feel a bit thinner than its boutique edition sister. I will have a better feeling after some more wearing: the alligator strap is very comfortable but doesnt fit at all with with actual outfit.
The blues are very nice, you feel the family heritage yet see that its actually really different. The dial feels balanced, something that was not obvious from the PR pictures.
Will try to do some thickness shots tomorrow.

I am curious to hear the sound of the alarm and to see if the thickness of the case will bother me as I am accustomed to thinner watches.

It will be very interesting to compare the sound from two different gongs
One is striking on caseback, one is striking to the case side. Hopefully the new one is as loud and nice as the previous iterations

It is one my favorite watches, just loved that one the second I saw it. Great collection!
Thank you, indeed one cant go wrong with the 2016 Boutique. I actually got mine in 2018 and was told back then it would be the last one in France.
And I believe the Timer is probably one of the earliest in France!
I eventually got a nato strap while waiting for a bespoke strap.
Like the color combination but here you dont really enjoy the lower thickness of the watch. Yes I was at my baby's office (she expanded her operations throughout the house). ...
Still havent received the bespoke straps yet so I cant enjoy the thinness of the watch, but it is very much to my liking. I believe this will be à easy watch to have often on the wrist, undressed, that will look good in most of the situations.
Have you tried the Vendome boutique or the Galeries Lafayette/Printemps?
Wow what a nice set of JLC. To be honest, I like the boutique edition better than the timer.
The dial looks simple and elegant. But dislike the all polished case, prefer the thinner and brushed side case of the timer. The ideal combination for me is the Timer case with Boutique dial. Thanks for showing them side by side.
I must confess that at some point I was wondering if I could test-assemble the new timer with just the dial of the boutique...
Because the new case is just so much better. The new dial is also more playful, I would say.
Well, the timer function is a simple trick that works.
But I am not fan of the font they use on the timer dial...it just seems inconsistent with the rest of the dial (just IMHO). Maybe if they use blue numbers on white background, with same font as the "6-9-12" ....
Great font use
JLC made a very balanced Memovox. All is good readable. If JLC must listen to every command, it is impossible.
