Same for me. I don't have a meteorite dial, for the moment, but I am considering it very seriously. [nt]

Taken at the SIHH, dome 5 years ago, with a piece of Meteorite. I found interesting to see the material before and after having been worked. And, of course, because it is a beautiful dial! Best, Nicolas ...

That meteorite, the look of it.

Never seen anything like it, must be so interesting in person.

It is. [nt]

I’ll be honest, the meteorite is so “different” looking I almost

Thought the picture was “photoshopped,” if I could be Frank, or maybe John, or Jane.

Superb watch and photo. Strange to think that that little piece of meteorite...

...had been wandering through space for millions of years before becoming that beautiful dial. Regards Kev.

Here's what JLC has to say about the material used to make this dial:

 By: Moana43 : October 11th, 2020-12:55
"Meteorites are fragments of asteroids that travel around the solar system for millions, or even billions, of years. The one chosen here is over 4 billion years old. Having fallen to earth some 800,000 years ago, it was discovered in Sweden and comes from...

Thank you [nt]

Thanks, Nico. And thanks for the great photo you have provided!

The age of this material is mind-boggling in and of itself. But, I also find it amazing to know that it came from the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. I think that Frank Sinatra may well have provided the theme music for this watch: "Fly me to the ...

Yes! Ice Age, I couldn’t remember the name..

Thank you. He would prob prefer a watch with “ice” on it.

My pleasure.

Yes, the steel one especially was hard to find at boutiques before it got discontinued. I have met 2 other people who own one though.

Poor little meteorite

Very interesting pairing

Did you touch that piece of meteorite, Nicolas? How does it feel and does it weigh relatively much? George

Well, who could resist...?

 By: George Gently : October 12th, 2020-06:18
I most certainly could not. So one could say, it's quite dense (rather heavy in relation to it's volume)? These kind of stuff is so special and exciting. I hope we see more brands using meteorite in one of their lines.

What an object.. What a dial.. And what a picture !.. And Yes, it‘s mind-boggling.. A piece of history from outer space..

.. And zillions of years from the past.. Lucky few, who got such a marvel ! Thx for this share, making one humble.. Best, hs

Nicely put, mon ami. [nt]

What I thought... [nt]

 By: amanico : October 12th, 2020-14:31

It’s a special piece, and one of the few where I believe the rose gold beats the SS.

I also think the sample of meteorite really impacts the overall aesthetic. A cool unique piece for sure!!

Sublime! The watch, the dial, the shot!! Reading about...

 By: Subexplorer : October 14th, 2020-21:11
... the origin and age of the material used to make this dial inspire to think how little we human beings are and that our life is just a short breath within Cosmos. Also makes me feel I need a meteorite dial watch in my collection!! Awesome my dear Nicol...

Definitely, Amigo!
